Alpe d'Huez
The most ‘googled’ climb on the planet and a regular feature in the Tour de France, thousands of cyclists reconcile demons and battle away to the top of Alpe d'Huez each year from around the world. It is a legend, and many Tour de France overall wins have been determined on this climb, but it is overhyped and there are so many other climbs worthy of your attention first. In the area, we'd prioritise Col du Galibier, Croix de fer with Col du Glandon (Magical in the evening light) first.
