San Bernardino Pass (Passo del San Bernardino)
Is a high mountain pass (2066m) in the Swiss Alps connecting the Hinterrhein and the Mesolcina (Misox) valleys between Thusis (canton of Graubünden) and Bellinzona (canton of Ticino). No matter which way you climb it, you are in for a visual treat. From Hinterrhein an impressive and tight set of switchbacks rise you from the valley floor. From Mesocco is a joyous wonderland of twists and turns, but both lead you to the sublime alpine lake where you can suck in the views. Both of you'll be smiling from ear to ear on the way down!
